CLUB GUIDELINES
TRAINING
PUNCTUALITY
- Training Starts at 5.30pm
- If members have not arrived before 6.15pm they do not bat
- Attempt to finish training by 7.30pm
BE INVOLVED
- No Standing around,
- find something to do ie throw downs, catching, throwing, cricket game etc
- 4 bowlers maximum per net
- Help with cleaning up after training
- Thursday night must go up for at least one drink
ATTENDANCE
- Please aim to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to training.
- No Poor Excuses for not making training (ie be honest)
- Notify Murray Ring well in advance if you are unable to attend training or unavailable for matches
- If not in the right frame of mind for training don’t come
- If you do not receive a text saying otherwise, then training is going ahead
APPLICATION
- Get something out of training
- Bat, Bowl and Field with intent
- Warm up before training
- Must bowl legal deliveries (ie avoid no balls)
- Adhere to goals/rules for specific nights (self discipline)
- Help your team mates
DRESS CODE
- Club Clothing (no dark blue) or
- All white top or cricket shirt
GAME DAY
PUNCTUALITY
- Home Games
- 1sts & 2nds be at ground at 11.30am
- 3rds & 4ths be at ground at 12.45pm
- Away Games
- 1sts & 2nds be at ground at 11.45am
- 3rds & 4ths be at ground at 12.45pm
1sts & 2nds be dressed and ready for warm up by 12.00pm
3rds & 4ths be dressed and ready for warm up by 1.00pm
GAME GUIDELINES
- Warm up – Club shirt and shorts must be worn
- Quick between overs (ie get in fielding positions quickly)
- Attempt to complete 40 overs by tea break
- Demonstrate intensity in the field
- Encouragement in the field (must talk) – “no negatives”
- When it’s tough going or it’s quite in the field “MACCA” is the key word
- Help with cleaning up after close of days play
ATTITUDE
- Come prepared to play
- Focus when warm up starts
- It’s a team sport, so play & support as a team
- Bowl and field to captains game plan
- Put value on your wicket when batting
- Never say it can’t be done
- Never give up
AFTERNOON TEA
- One person allocated each week to bring sandwiches for afternoon tea
- Must bring proper food (ie for lunch)
- No oven food
