Altona North
Cricket Club
The Altona North Cricket Club was established in 1923 as the Kororoit Stars Cricket Club and played on an oval adjacent to Williamstown Beach. In the 1970's the Club moved to Altona North, a diverse, multicultural area of the City of Hobsons Bay. The Club fields four senior men's teams in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association.

The Club is establishing junior girls and boys cricket programs to cater for the influx of young families with children moving into the Altona North area.
​
We aim to support the development and growth of cricket programs for the adults, youth and children living in the Altona North area.
​
A strong and vibrant Altona North Cricket Club will provide an important sport and recreation facility for the growing Altona North community.

The W.L.J. Crofts Reserve is currently undergoing a significant upgrade to sporting facilities. The total budget for the W.L.J. Crofts Reserve Improvement Plan is $6,450,000, and includes new sports pavilion, car park, cricket practice nets, open space upgrades, redevelopment of Ovals 2 and 3 (on the northern boundary of the reserve) and installation of new sportsground floodlighting.
The W.L.J. Crofts Reserve Improvement Project has included consultation with tenant sporting clubs. Council acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government.
